These metal enamel panels started as I worked for the City of Minneapolis project, the John Biggers Seed Project (Seed). It is a public art and collaborative design effort that engages renowned African American artists in mentoring emerging artists in place making by educating them about African American art and community history, providing career development and transferable skills, and creating a sense of place that speaks to the culture of North Minneapolis. These panels you see in the portfolio are specifically for a project that were hung in the fall of 2016 in North Minneapolis over 94W. I participated in the design and fabrication of this project.
